On the morning of November 17, a delegation of ten people from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at North China Electric Power University visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) at Tsinghua University for research and discussion. The delegation included Vice Deans (in charge of work) Qi Lei, Liu Nian, Xu Yanhui, among others. They were received by Yu Xinjie, the Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhu Guiping and Lu Chao, Deputy Deans, and other relevant faculty members of EEA.

The delegation first toured the historical gallery of EEA to gain a comprehensive understanding of the department’s development since its establishment. Following the tour, a discussion meeting was held, during which Yu Xinjie, the Secretary of the Party Committee of EEA, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at North China Electric Power University. He emphasized the deep friendship and good cooperation between the two departments and expressed the hope for further strengthening communication and collaboration.

Qi Lei, Vice Dean (in charge of work) of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at North China Electric Power University, provided a comprehensive overview of the basic situation of the school.

Sun Kai, Assistant Dean of EEA, presented information on the discipline assessment and the work of the national key laboratories in EEA. Lu Chao, Deputy Dean of EEA, gave a comprehensive introduction to the history, organizational structure, and scientific system of EEA, as well as the Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute at Tsinghua University, Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute at Tsinghua University, and the National Energy Internet Industry and Technology Innovation Alliance. Zhu Guiping, Deputy Dean, provided detailed information on admissions, education, and graduation in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Professor Dang Zhimin from the High Voltage Research Institute introduced key research and development projects.

Following the meeting, there was a discussion and exchange session with more than ten current doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows from EEA, focusing on their future employment prospects.
