Professor Kang Chongqing serves as the Dean of EEA at Tsinghua University, President of the Tsinghua University Institute for Energy Internet Innovation, President of the Tsinghua Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Society for Electrical Engineering, and a distinguished teaching professor in Beijing. He is an IEEE Fellow and a member of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. He has been selected as a National Distinguished Youth and a member of the Ten Thousand Talents Program. With over 300 published papers, including more than 100 articles in IEEE Transactions, he has been listed as a highly cited scholar in China by Elsevier for multiple years. He has received numerous awards, including the 2018 Outstanding Contribution Award in China’s Power Industry, the 2021 IEEE PES Power System Reliability Award, and the 2021 IET Achievement Medal.

PCCC’s members include various local professional chapters, working committees, special committees, and secretariats of PES in China. Dr. Bian Jianhua, President of IEEE PES, stated that PCCC is an important organizational body of IEEE and PES. The entire leadership team of PES, including Dr. Bian Jianhua, Ms. Mythili Chaganti (PES VP of Chapters and Membership), Dr. Ramakrishna Kappagantu (PES Region 10 Representative), and other PES leaders, will continue to support Chairperson Kang Chongqing and the development of PCCC.
