Achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is a major strategic decision made by the Party Central Committee and Comrade Xi Jinping in coordinating both domestic and international situations, and it is a solemn commitment for the Chinese people to building a community with a shared future for mankind. In the process of achieving carbon neutrality, low-carbon, zero-carbon and even negative-carbon technologies will become the key to the future global industrial revolution and technological competition. Therefore, the Carbon Neutrality Research Institute of Tsinghua University has held a series of academic activities of "Carbon Neutrality Technology Forum", focusing on the frontier issues of carbon neutrality technology innovation, engineering layout and development strategy, and providing guidance and technology support for the formulation of carbon neutrality technology route. Now it is schedule to hold the launching ceremony of "Tsinghua University Carbon Neutrality Technology Forum" and the first forum "New-type Power System and Carbon Neutrality" at 2:00 pm on April 18, 2022 at Xijiao Hotel, Beijing, to explore the establishment of a new-type power system suitable for China's national conditions with stronger new energy consumption capacity, so as to promote clean and low-carbon transformation of energy, and help achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
