Biography

Chao Lu has been appointed Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering Department of Tsinghua University since 2009. He received the Bachelor's degree of Electrical Power Engineering with honors in 1999, and a Ph.D in Electrical Power Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2005. His research interests include complex system analysis and control in smart grid, wide area measurement system, applications of data mining and deep learning techniques and applications of energy storage system.

He has been the PI of more than 15 academic and industrial projects. He is the author of 1 books on power system dynamic identification and control, and has published more than 80 academic papers in the peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. He is an IEEE senior member, and Associate Editors of IET Generation Transmission and Distribution, International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy System. He has been awarded ten academic and scientific awards.
